The Trần Hưng Đạo Temple is a national historical and cultural monument, with great potential for cultural tourism and spiritual visits. It is a living museum of folk culture, a unique cultural feature of Thanh Hóa Province that is being preserved and maintained. The village of Thổ Khối in Tống Giang District, Thanh Hoa Prefecture (now Hà Trung District, Thanh Hóa Province) was honored to be chosen by the esteemed General Trần Hưng Đạo as the resting place for two kings and their command staff, becoming the headquarters for the resistance against the Yuan-Mongol forces. Trần Hưng Đạo was a national hero who played a pivotal role in defeating the enemy at Hàm Tử, Chương Dương, Tây Kết, and Bạch Đằng, successfully driving the Yuan-Mongol forces out of the country, achieving remarkable victories in the nation's struggle against foreign invaders.
