National Historical Site C4 Hill The Heroic Victory in Protecting Hàm Rồng Bridge, a Belief in Certain Victory C4 Hill is located in the Rồng Mountain range (Hàm Rồng Ward, Thanh Hóa City today), about 500 meters from the Mã River, where Hàm Rồng Bridge stands. During the American War, C4 Hill was the highest point that the enemy heavily bombarded. It was also the site of fierce battles and the sacrifice of our troops and people in the fight to protect Hàm Rồng Bridge – one of Vietnam's historical symbols during the resistance against American imperialism. The anti-aircraft artillery position on C4 Hill was established on May 31, 1965, with the main force being Company 4 of Regiment 228, the Air Defense-Air Force Corps. This unit played a key role throughout the first phase of the resistance against the U.S. Empire's air raids at the 'Hàm Rồng Fire Coordinates.'
