The Temple Lê Uy Trần Khát Chân National Historical Site Located in the ancient village of Đông Sơn, Hàm Rồng Ward, Thanh Hóa City, the Temple of The Great Saint - Lê Uy Trần Khát Chân is a special historical and cultural site closely associated with a talented general of the nation. With its significant historical value and unique architectural features, which deeply reflect the local cultural identity, the temple was recognized as a National Historical and Cultural Monument in 1994. The Great Saint - Lê Uy Trần Khát Chân was an outstanding general at the end of the Lý dynasty, who made great contributions in repelling the Champa forces, protecting the borders, and ensuring the security of the country. He sacrificed his life at the upper section of Đông Sơn, Đông Sơn district (now part of Thanh Hóa city) in a fierce battle. In honor of his contributions, the local people built a temple in his memory, which has become a sacred place for worship and to honor the heroic deeds of this general.
