Attractive Autumn Tour Packages

29/08/2026
As summer gradually draws to a close, travel companies across the province have proactively refreshed their tour programs, introducing packages tailored to visitors seeking relaxation, exploration, and immersive experiences. Alongside journeys to the western region of Thanh Hoa and heritage destinations, a variety of coastal tourism products are also being prepared, offering visitors more choices for their autumn travels.

Hon Trong Mai – an attractive destination on an autumn journey to explore Thanh Hoa.

This autumn, several new tourism products will be piloted at the coastal tourism areas of Sam Son, Hai Tien and Hai Hoa, including “One Market – A Thousand Flavors of the Sea,” “Experiencing the Rhythm of Fishing Village Life,” and a cultural space featuring a pedestrian street and night market. Based on these new products, travel businesses across the province are developing tour packages that connect coastal destinations with cultural and historical attractions to capture visitors’ interest.

Several travel companies have already introduced new tour routes connecting destinations within Sam Son. From their resorts, visitors can explore Doc Cuoc Temple, Hon Trong Mai, Co Tien Temple, the To Hien Thanh Temple, the Memorial Site for Southern compatriots, soldiers and students who relocated to the North, the Seaside Square, and Cot Do Market.

These destinations are linked together to combine sightseeing with opportunities to learn about local history, culture and architecture, enjoy local cuisine, and experience the rhythm of life in a coastal city.

In addition, intra-provincial tours connecting Sam Son – Thanh Hoa Provincial Museum – Ho Citadel – Lam Kinh – Pu Luong have also been refreshed by travel companies such as VNPlus Travel, Lac Hong Travel, Trust Viet Travel and Long Hai Travel. The programs focus mainly on day trips, two-day-one-night and three-day-two-night itineraries.

In Sam Son Ward and Nam Sam Son, the “One Market – A Thousand Flavors of the Sea” space is being developed to showcase local cuisine, specialties and OCOP products. Alongside seaside relaxation, visitors will have additional opportunities to sample distinctive local products and learn about the area’s culture and way of life.

Meanwhile, at Hai Hoa and Hai Tien coastal tourism areas, the “Experiencing the Rhythm of Fishing Village Life” program aims to bring visitors closer to the daily lives of local fishing communities. Onshore activities, opportunities to learn about traditional fishing, enjoy fresh seafood, and experience community life are expected to become highlights of autumn tour packages, particularly for visitors interested in authentic local experiences.

In addition, cultural spaces, pedestrian streets and night markets featuring local culture, cuisine and traditional folk games are being considered for early implementation at coastal tourism areas. Adding evening activities will provide more experiences for visitors, in line with the trend of diversifying tourism products and extending the operating hours of tourism services.

Nguyen Thi Ha, Deputy General Director of GBest Vietnam Joint Stock Company, said: “Current tour-selection trends increasingly emphasize experiences and flexibility. For autumn tours, visitors are interested not only in the destination itself but also in the experiences throughout the journey, from culture and history to cuisine, community life, entertainment and leisure activities.

“Therefore, alongside day tours, GBest is promoting the development of two-day-one-night and three-day-two-night packages connecting northern Vietnamese and international markets with Thanh Hoa. With reasonable travel times, we expect these new products to increase the destination’s appeal during the autumn season.”

Alongside developing new products, cooperation between travel companies, tourism service providers and local authorities is an important factor in organizing tour packages. Transportation, accommodation, dining, tour guiding and experiential activities all need to be delivered with consistent quality. For community-based tours, particular attention should also be paid to safety, environmental hygiene and the authenticity of the experiences offered.

Vu Van Binh, Head of the Travel Association under the Thanh Hoa Tourism Association, said: “Autumn is a suitable time for businesses to make more effective use of short domestic tours within the province. If destinations are connected into well-designed itineraries, accompanied by carefully planned services and experiential activities, visitors will have more choices, while businesses will have better opportunities to develop attractive programs for different customer groups.

“However, accommodation, dining and transportation providers should also consider offering appropriate prices and tourism stimulus programs at this time. This would create favorable conditions for travel companies to refresh existing products and develop new tours.”

Diversifying tourism products and strengthening connections between destinations are opening up new opportunities for the autumn tourism market in Thanh Hoa. From seaside relaxation and fishing village experiences to local cuisine, cultural spaces and heritage exploration, travel companies are working to bring new tour packages to the market to meet visitors’ needs during this autumn season.
