In Thanh Hoa, talking about some Thai people who are passionate about researching, preserving and developing their ethnic language, we must mention Mr. Ha Nam Ninh, Cao Bang Nghia and Pham Ba Thuoc.

Mr. Ha Nam Ninh was previously the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Thuoc district until 2006 when he retired. After retiring, he devoted all his time to studying and researching the culture and language of the Thai people. For decades, he has collected a lot of documents on traditional festivals, ancient literary works, ancient scripts, customs and practices of the Thai people, preserving hundreds of valuable books and documents in Thai script, such as: Land boundary deed between villages and communes; History of the formation of village communities; Genealogy and stories about historical figures with merit. Among them, the most valuable are the Thai poems "The Tale of the Road to Heaven", "The Tale of Kham Panh", "Khun Lu - Nang Ua", "Song Chu Son Sao", "Truyen tinh Pha-dua"... These are famous works, valuable in the cultural and spiritual life of the Thai people in Thanh Hoa in particular and the Thai people in Vietnam in general.

In addition, Mr. Ha Nam Ninh is very passionate about researching and compiling documents on Thai script such as: "Thanh Hoa Ancient Thai script", "Thai Vietnamese script teaching set in Thanh Hoa", "Thai ethnic language teaching materials"... After compiling the lesson plans, he also opened a free Thai script class in Ba Thuoc district for those who love and want to learn Thai script. In particular, the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Home Affairs and the Ethnic Minorities Committee of Thanh Hoa province invited Mr. Ninh to teach Thai script to border guards, armed forces working in stations, highland districts and highland border communes.

Mr. Cao Bang Nghia is a researcher of Thai ethnic culture in Quan Hoa district. Currently, Mr. Nghia has passed the age of "thất thập cổ lai hy". Around 1989, he worked as Head of the District Culture Department (at that time, Quan Hoa of Thanh Hoa had not yet been divided into 3 districts: Quan Hoa, Quan Son and Muong Lat). After that, he joined the Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of the District Party Committee. In 2010, he retired, and since then spent all his time collecting and researching the culture of his ethnic group. In Thanh Hoa, Mr. Cao Bang Nghia is considered one of the people who made great contributions to collecting and researching Thai culture. He is passionate about collecting ancient artifacts and the written language of his ethnic group. He is currently researching and collecting hundreds of pages of mo poems: Mo for the dead, Mo for the land god, Mo for new rice... Mr. Pham Ba Thuoc, born in 1957 in Muong Min commune, Quan Son district, has made many contributions to preserving and teaching the Thai language in many mountainous districts of the province. Mr. Thuoc is not only proficient in Thai ethnic writing but also collects, transcribes and preserves over 2,000 proverbs, idioms, and idioms of the Thai ethnic group, and preserves 300 ancient books of all genres: folk songs, poems, spiritual books and ancient books about Thai customs and practices. He has recorded and preserved dozens of Khap melodies in the form of performing folk songs. In addition, Mr. Pham Ba Thuoc also mobilizes elders and folk artists to collect ancient books in Thai script, update and record literary works, idioms, proverbs, and idioms in various areas of social life, then transcribe them into Vietnamese and disseminate them to the people. This year, Mr. Thuoc is nearly 70 years old but is still diligently researching and teaching Thai language to people in the mountainous districts of the province..."

Hopefully, they will contribute more to collecting and researching Thai culture, especially preserving and developing the written language of their people.

In addition, the preservation and promotion of the unique cultural features of ethnic minorities in Thanh Hoa cannot fail to mention weaving, embroidery, brocade weaving, folk songs and dances, festivals... Especially the festivals of ethnic minorities such as: Pon Pong Festival of the Muong people, Turtle Dance in the New Year of the Dao people, Cha Mun Festival of the Thai people... are very unique, imbued with ethnic culture and need to be preserved and promoted.
