Mậu Xương Pagoda, also known by its ancient name Tuyết Sơn Phong Tự, is located on the "Dragon's Head" site, covering a natural area of 12,500m². The pagoda is dedicated to the worship of Buddha and the revered saints of the internal doctrine. This is a unique cultural feature of Tuyết Sơn Phong Tự. The pagoda was established during the Trần Dynasty, originally named Tuyết Phong; during the Lê Dynasty, it was renamed Tuyết Sơn Phong Tự. According to legend, when the Buddha descended and the village changed its name, the pagoda was called Yên Đông. In 1830, the village of Yên Đông changed its name to Mậu Xương, and since then, the pagoda has been known as Mậu Xương Pagoda up to the present day.

As a pagoda associated with the legend of the Buddha's birth and the revered saints (internal doctrine), Mậu Xương Pagoda hosts many significant annual ceremonies: the Midnight Ceremony on New Year's Eve and the three days of the Lunar New Year; the village festival on the 14th and 15th of January (carrying the sacred tablets of the gods to the pagoda; procession of the elder Chỉ's offering); the memorial ceremony for the Buddha on the 28th of January (carrying the offering of the elder Thủ Chỉ from the village); the memorial ceremonies for the revered saints on the 20th of May, among others. These events attract a large number of Buddhist followers and visitors from all regions. It is an occasion for people to return to their spiritual roots, participate in traditional rituals, and pray for peace and happiness.
