The Sacred Shrine of Thánh Cả spans an area of 320 square meters, located in the Khang Thái neighborhood, Quảng Thọ Ward, Sam Son City. This is the colloquial name by which the local villagers refer to the principal deity of the village. In addition, the people also call it the Upper Shrine or the First Shrine to distinguish it from other gods worshiped by the villagers. However, the name Sacred Shrine of Thánh Cả remains the most commonly used among the local populace.

The principal deity enshrined in this sacred site is the revered Đế Thích Diêm La Thượng Đẳng Thần, along with the Vân Vũ Tôn Thần. These deities hold significant positions in the spiritual life of the local community, honored as the tutelary gods of the village, who serve as protectors to ensure peace and prosperity for the people.

To reach the shrine from the center of Thanh Hoa City, one mus travel along National Route 47 heading toward Sam Son City (approximately 15 kilometers) until reaching the center of Quảng Thọ Ward. From the Ward’s People’s Committee office, head west for 200 meters until reaching the village intersection, then turn right. Continue straight for 500 meters, the Sacred Shrine of Thánh Cả is in front of you.

The Sacred Shrine of Thánh Cả is not only a place of reverent worship but also a cultural, historical, and scenic landmark, attracting visitors from all directions.
The Shrine is a historical and cultural relic, as well as a natural attraction, designated as a provincial heritage site under Decision No. 354/QĐ-UBND dated January 22, 2020, by the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee. Currently, the main festival at the Shrine takes place on the 15th day of the first lunar month each year (a festival of prayer for blessings). Additionally, on the first day and the full moon of each month, the people of the neighborhood and ward visit the Shrine to offer incense, praying for health and peace.

The Shrine was reconstructed in 2015, consisting of the entrance gate, courtyard, ritual hall, and the main shrine. The Shrine is designed in the shape of the character "Đinh" (J), featuring a front hall (Tiền đường) and a rear sanctuary (Hậu cung), oriented toward the south. Notable artifacts that have been preserved include the base stone and stone slabs, which were collected and carefully preserved by the local people at the site, serving as valuable historical documents with significant historical importance.
