Vích Pagoda, also known as "Bích Liên Tự," a name derived from the two villages Y Bích and Lộc Tiên, is set in a lush, picturesque natural landscape. Situated beside the De Canal, the pagoda is accompanied by the temple dedicated to "Princess Quỳnh Nga," who played a significant role in the pagoda's construction.

The pagoda was first built in the early 13th century with bamboo and thatch, but it was frequently destroyed by fire. During the reign of King Trần Nghệ Tông (1370-1372), the pagoda was rebuilt using bricks and tiles. It was further expanded and made more imposing during the reign of King Lê Thánh Tông (1460-1497). Between 1936 and 1938, the pagoda served as a sanctuary for revolutionary activists, including Đinh Chương Dương and key Party members such as Lê Chủ, Bùi Đạt, Tố Hữu, and Trịnh Hồng Quế. It was also a place for printing and storing important revolutionary documents.

The structure of Vích Pagoda consists of a main hall, central hall, and the main shrine, built in the shape of the Chinese character "" (gong), with surrounding buildings including the ancestral hall and the Mother Goddess shrine. Vích Pagoda is not only a place of worship for the Buddha but also closely linked with the religious practices and festivals of the coastal community. During major holidays such as Vu Lan Festival, the full moon, or the New Year, the pagoda attracts numerous devotees and visitors who come to pray for peace and prosperity.

Beyond its religious value, the pagoda stands as a cultural symbol, contributing to the preservation of the nation's traditional values. With its architectural beauty and harmonious natural surroundings, Vích Pagoda is an appealing destination for those who wish to explore culture and history, while seeking inner peace. The pagoda was recognized as a National Art and Architecture Monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism in 2008.
