Located in Quảng Tiến Ward, Sầm Sơn, Thanh Hóa, the Trần Family Temple was built to honor and pay tribute to the ancestors of the Trần family—one of the most prominent families in the history of Đại Việt, known for their significant contributions to the establishment and defense of the nation. The Trần family is famous for producing many outstanding kings and generals throughout history, such as Trần Thái Tông and Trần Hưng Đạo, who played key roles in defeating the Mongol invaders and securing the nation's borders.

The temple consists of a three-room front hall, a main worship hall, and a rear sanctuary (a separate worship area). This temple is not only a place to express gratitude to the ancestors but also a gathering place for the cultural and spiritual values of the people of Thanh Hóa. The Trần Family Temple is a symbol of respect for teachers and reverence for the way and the preservation of the Vietnamese tradition of remembering the origins of the nation. The temple was recognized as a Provincial Historical and Cultural Monument under Decision No. 422 in 2007.

The temple has undergone several restorations by the descendants of the Trần family to preserve its historical and spiritual significance. In 2000, the temple was repaired due to the effects of time. In August 2023, with contributions from descendants and approval from the local authorities, the temple was renovated and restored to its current grandeur.

On the 15th day of the 12th lunar month each year, the Trần family holds a ceremony to honor their ancestors. The prayer for prosperity ceremony takes place from the 14th to the 15th of the 2nd lunar month.

The temple is not only a place to honor the contributions of the Trần family's ancestors but also a cultural and spiritual site that strengthens the bond among descendants.
