A Tour Around Thanh Hoa During the First Days of the National Day Holiday

Rainy weather at times during the first two days of the National Day holiday affected visitor numbers, with relatively few tourists traveling to tourist areas and attractions across the province. However, lively cultural, artistic, recreational and entertainment activities continued to take place at coastal resorts and several other destinations.

At the Sam Son Coastal Tourism Urban Area, the cultural space, pedestrian street and night market officially opened on the evening of August 28, welcoming local residents and visitors.

The space offers a diverse range of nighttime activities, including entertainment, shopping, dining and leisure experiences, attracting considerable interest from both residents and tourists.

During the holiday period, the Hai Tien and Hai Hoa coastal eco-tourism areas are also hosting a series of events, including “Chill by the Sea – Hai Tien” and the “Cultural Space – Pedestrian Street – Hai Hoa Beach Night Market.” These are new tourism products being introduced for the first time at the province’s coastal destinations, promising visitors a range of exciting experiences.

At the Lam Kinh Special National Relic Site, the number of visitors coming to sightsee and pay tribute remained limited during the first days of the holiday due to unfavorable weather conditions.

Meanwhile, at the Ho Citadel World Cultural Heritage Site, visitors gathered mainly in the inner citadel area, where they explored the remarkable stone architecture and exhibition spaces showcasing the heritage site’s outstanding values.

Pu Luong Community-Based Ecotourism Area recorded a large number of visitors, with room occupancy at resorts and homestays reaching 97% throughout the holiday period.

During the remaining days of the National Day holiday, a number of activities will continue to take place across the province for residents and visitors, including the Sam Son Kite Festival; a music night at Hai Tien Pier as part of “Chill by the Sea”; a pilot intra-provincial tour departing from Sam Son Beach; the “Touching the Rhythm of Fishing Village Life” coastal fishing experience; and “One Market – A Thousand Flavors of the Sea,” among others.
