Diversifying Coastal Tourism Products to Attract Visitors

During this year’s National Day holiday, a number of new tourism products are being introduced at coastal destinations, helping enrich the experiences of local residents and visitors.

Vibrant Activities by the Sea

These days, the Hai Tien coastal tourism area has become livelier with a series of “Chill by the Sea” music nights organized by the Thanh Hoa Exhibition and Tourism Promotion Center.

Taking place from August 29 to September 1, the four music nights feature performances by a number of young artists popular with the public. Against the expansive backdrop of the sea, music, lights and the sound of waves come together to create relaxing and memorable moments for local residents and visitors during the holiday.

During the same period, in Sam Son, the Thanh Hoa Exhibition and Tourism Promotion Center is also organizing the “Resilient Borderlands – Sacred Seas and Islands” exhibition and the Kite Festival themed “Fly with the Sea Breeze.”

While the exhibition presents images and documentary materials highlighting the nation’s borderlands, seas and islands, the Kite Festival brings a colorful spectacle to the seaside sky. Wind-filled kites, together with interactive activities, add new highlights to visitors’ journeys of discovery in Sam Son.

Tran Thi Hong, Director of the Thanh Hoa Exhibition and Tourism Promotion Center, said: “During the National Day holiday, the Center has been tasked with organizing cultural, artistic and exhibition activities in Hai Tien and Sam Son. Through these activities, we hope to enrich visitors’ experiences, encourage them to stay longer, and inspire them to return to Thanh Hoa’s coastal tourism destinations many more times.”

More Spaces for Visitors to Explore

Alongside programs organized by the Thanh Hoa Exhibition and Tourism Promotion Center, the Hai Tien, Hai Hoa, Sam Son and South Sam Son coastal tourism areas are also introducing a range of new tourism products during the holiday. Highlights include the “Touching the Rhythm of Fishing Village Life” fishing experience space, the Cultural Space – Pedestrian Street – Night Market, the “One Market – A Thousand Flavors of the Sea” seafood market, as well as numerous cultural, artistic and sporting programs.

Each activity has its own distinctive character, but all share the goal of showcasing the unique values of the coastal areas. Visitors can learn about fishing village life, savor local seafood specialties, stroll through pedestrian streets, shop, enjoy artistic performances, or simply experience the sea atmosphere in a different way.

For Nguyen Van Thang, a visitor from Hanoi, the cultural and artistic programs have given his family’s trip to Hai Tien more experiences and memorable moments.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Hai Yen, a visitor from Hung Yen Province, said that visiting Sam Son during the National Day holiday, she and her family were excited to immerse themselves in the vibrant and colorful atmosphere of the Kite Festival by the sea.

Towards a Year-Round Destination

From music nights by the sea and colorful kites filling the sky over Sam Son to fishing village experiences, pedestrian streets, night markets and seafood markets, each new tourism product is adding another layer to the picture of Thanh Hoa’s coastal tourism.

The series of activities also provides an opportunity for localities and tourism operators to promote their destinations, showcase distinctive products and create lasting impressions on visitors. More importantly, these initiatives represent a step toward developing tourism products capable of attracting visitors throughout the year, rather than focusing solely on the summer season.

As the coastal landscape comes alive with new experiences, Thanh Hoa’s beaches are becoming more than places for relaxation. They are also destinations for exploration, enjoyment and creating beautiful memories along every journey.
