30/08/2026
On the morning of August 30, the Hoang Tien Commune People’s Committee officially launched the “Touching the Rhythm of Fishing Village Life” series of activities and the “Cultural Space – Pedestrian Street – Hai Tien Night Market.” The event was held to celebrate the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

Residents and visitors enjoy watching the latest catch being pulled ashore.

Hoang Tien is one of the localities selected by the Thanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate the organization of the “Touching the Rhythm of Fishing Village Life” and “Cultural Space – Pedestrian Street – Night Market” series. The initiative aims to introduce more new tourism products at key coastal destinations, enhance their appeal and encourage visitors to extend their stays.

The products are being developed with a focus on enriching visitor experiences and showcasing the cultural values, cuisine and daily lives of local fishermen, with the goal of attracting more visitors during the low season.

In Hoang Tien Commune, through the “Touching the Rhythm of Fishing Village Life” activities, residents and visitors can directly observe, learn about and experience traditional fishing activities such as pulling fishing nets ashore, removing fish from nets, weaving and repairing nets. They can also interact with fishermen and discover the daily life of the fishing community along the Hai Tien coast.

The activities go beyond simply serving local residents and visitors; they also represent an effort to revive, preserve and promote the distinctive cultural values of Hai Tien’s coastal area.

The Hai Tien Cultural Space – Pedestrian Street – Night Market is designed as a nighttime venue for cultural activities, dining, shopping, entertainment and leisure. It also provides an opportunity for local households, businesses and production establishments to introduce, promote and sell distinctive local products.

Le Sy Thang, Vice Chairman of the Hoang Tien Commune People’s Committee, emphasized that although the two activities take different approaches, they share the same goal of developing tourism while preserving cultural heritage and improving local livelihoods. One highlights the simple, traditional rhythm of fishing village life, while the other creates a modern and vibrant pedestrian street and night market.

The harmonious combination of old and new is expected to create a distinctive appeal for Hai Tien – a destination that is attractive not only for its beaches, but also for its cultural identity and people.

Here, every local resident can become an “ambassador” through simple gestures such as a friendly smile, delicious food, courteous behavior or heartfelt stories, helping leave a positive impression on visitors.
