The Emerging Landscape of the Am Tien Spiritual Tourism and Historical Relic Complex

10/09/2026
The Am Tien Spiritual Tourism and Historical Relic Complex in Tan Ninh Commune, Thanh Hoa, has entered the construction phase, with a number of large-scale facilities now taking shape. A new landscape is gradually emerging, promising to attract visitors from near and far seeking to pay their respects and experience the site’s spiritual heritage.

The pedestal structure for the statue of Vairocana Buddha (Dainichi Nyorai), located atop Nua Mountain, stands prominently amid the Am Tien construction site.

Construction of the project’s structural components is being accelerated.

Construction of the landscape axis and related facilities is being carried out simultaneously.

Workers remain hard at work at the construction site despite the challenging high-altitude terrain.

Steel structures, columns and construction systems are being erected across the site.

The core of the Buddha statue has been completed, with installation of the bronze Vairocana Buddha (Dainichi Nyorai) statue expected to begin in October 2026.

An aerial view of part of the construction site highlights the scale of the facilities currently under development.

The project stretches across the natural terrain. Alongside construction progress, improving transport connectivity remains a key priority to ensure sufficient capacity to serve tourism both now and in the future. According to the plan, the main facilities are scheduled for completion in 2027, when the complex is expected to begin operations.
